  4. Inform your disability specialist of your plan to appeal the admission denial and request a factual letter of disability addressed to The Faculty Admissions Review Committee.
  5. Notify disability specialist when you have written your letter of appeal or brief explanation of the circumstances you feel would support an admissions exception.

    The Faculty Admissions Review Committee
    Office of Undergraduate Admissions
    212 Terrell Hall

  1. After receiving documentation, disability specialist will staff case with other professional staff members to determine if it is appropriate and feasible to write a letter of support on behalf of the student.
  2. If approved, a letter will be sent to the Undergraduate or Graduate Program Admissions office. The letter will inform Admissions that the student is registered with the DRC and that there is documentation of a disability which may affect certain aspects of the application criteria. The letter will delineate the types of support services offered by the DRC that the student will be eligible for if accepted at UGA. The DRC will recommend that Admissions consider this factor when deciding on the appeal.

Note: Final determination on admission appeals is made by the University of Georgia's Office of Admissions.
